Under The Shadows of Heroes
A Chronicle of the Wandering Years of Murtos Steelneck, Priest of Memnon, Outlaw of the Lowlands, and Pilgrim of the Darkened Paths
Herein is set down the account of the deeds and misdeeds of Murtos Steelneck, priest of the dread god Memnon, cast adrift from hearth and kin. Bound only by the will of his dark patron, he treads a world grown cold to mercy and rife with treachery.
By his side travels Tinjen Avathar, an elf of unruly temper and blackened heart, whose delight in slaughter and ruin knows few limits. Together they wander the lonely roads — strangers to pity, fugitives to law — and though Murtos bears the brand of outlaw, it is said his soul is not wholly given over to shadow.
Let it be known: what follows is no tale of chivalry, nor a song of noble deeds, but a grim and faithful reckoning of two who lived as they must — and paid what price their lives demanded.
